It’s three months since I started Positive Prospects, so what have I learned and achieved in that time?
I’ll be honest, the thing I am most proud of is that I have started my business and that I am confident in putting myself out there. This time one or two years ago I could not have done this as my anxiety was so bad. So the fact I’m even posting this without overthinking it to the point of sickness is a win.
Other things I am proud of:
– Getting great feedback from my clients. I’m so happy with the testimonials I have received and that I am making a real difference in helping people in their careers.
– I am making reels and speaking on Instagram, until a month ago I swore I would never do a reel 😂
– Delivered an interview skills workshop with great feedback
– Spoke on ‘networking with confidence’ at the AllBright event in Dublin
– Being able to work around the kids schedules
– Learning everyday and pushing myself out of my comfort zone
– Contributed to four newspaper/ magazine articles in the Irish Independant, Irish Examiner, Heyday and AllBright.
– Delivered four corporate trainings on topics including the building blocks of wellbeing, building resilience skills and wellbeing in a hybrid world.
Things I want to work on this quarter:
– I’m starting a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy so I can integrate more cognitive behavioural coaching methods into my practice to help clients challenge self-defeating thoughts, feelings and behaviours and improve self-esteem
– Manage my time better; no more working or studying at the weekends! I need to implement better boundaries and stop feeling like being ‘busy’ working is the best form of productivity.
I’m happy with how the first 3 months have gone and I’m excited to see what the next 3 months bring.
